Paper Sub

A retro arcade shooter under the sea. Schools of seahorses, dolphins, jellyfish, pufferfish and octopuses swim in, line up in formation and swoop down at your little yellow submarine. Fire rapid streams of bubbles to float them up and away, dodge their ink, and see how many levels you can clear.

Play Paper Sub

How to play

Hold and drag to steer your submarine along the sea floor. It fires a rapid stream of bubbles while you hold.
Each bubble hit wraps a sea creature in a bubble and it floats away. Octopuses take two hits.
Creatures swoop down at you and squirt ink. Get bumped or inked and you lose a sub. You start with 3.
Clear every creature to finish the level. Each level the creatures swoop faster, dive more often and squirt more ink. Every third level is a bonus parade where nobody attacks.

Controls

Hold and drag on the screen to steer and fire. With a mouse, move to steer and hold the button down to fire.
On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or A and D to move, Space to fire bubbles and P to pause.
Pause stops the action, and the Sound button turns sound effects on or off.

Tips

Creatures are worth double while they're diving, so stay brave.
Your bubbles fire a little faster every level and come out in two streams from level 5.
Boop the golden star for 12 seconds of an extra bubble stream.
Watch for ink and slide out of the way. Ink falls toward where you were.
You earn an extra sub at 20,000 points and again at 70,000.
