Box Doodles
The dots game from the back of every school notebook. Take turns drawing one line between two dots. Draw the fourth side of a box and it's yours, with your initial in it, and you draw again. When all 25 boxes are claimed, whoever has the most wins.

How to play
- Pick who to play: a friend on the same device, or the bot.
- On your turn, tap the space between two dots that sit next to each other to draw a line.
- Close the fourth side of a box to claim it. You score a point and draw another line.
- When every box has been claimed, the player with the most boxes wins.
Controls
- Tap or click between two dots to draw a line. On a keyboard, Tab to a line and press Enter.
- New round starts a fresh page. Mode switches between a friend and the bot.
- The Sound button turns sound on or off.
Tips
- Avoid drawing the third side of a box. It gives the box away.
- Early on, draw lines that don't touch any box with two sides already.
- Late in the game every move gives something away. Give away the shortest row of boxes you can.
- Taking a box lets you move again, so finish off a chain before you make your next safe move.
About Box Doodles
Dots and boxes has been a favourite pencil game since the 1800s. It starts slow and calm, and ends with long chains of boxes changing hands.
On Hard, the bot takes every box it can and always gives away as little as possible, so you'll have to plan ahead to beat it.
