Tic-Tac-Doodle
The classic paper-and-pencil game, drawn right on the sketchbook page. Blue X and pink O take turns, and the first to get three in a row wins the round. Pass the phone to a friend, or try to beat the bot. On Hard it never loses, so a draw is a win!
- Versus
- Play a friend on one device, or the bot
- Easy, Medium and Hard bots
- Saves your record against the bot
How to play
- Pick who to play: a friend on the same device, or the bot.
- Take turns drawing your mark in an empty square. Blue X is Player 1 (or you), pink O is Player 2 (or the bot).
- Get three in a row across, down or corner to corner to win the round.
- Fill the board with no line of three and it's a draw. Who goes first swaps every round.
Controls
- Tap or click a square to draw your mark.
- New round starts a fresh board. Mode lets you switch between a friend and the bot.
- The Sound button turns sound on or off.
Tips
- Take the middle square if it's free. It's part of four different lines.
- Corners come next: they're part of three lines each.
- Always check if the other player has two in a row before you go, and block it.
- Make two lines at once (a fork) and the other player can only block one.
About Tic-Tac-Doodle
Tic-Tac-Doodle is tic-tac-toe, the game everyone has drawn in the margins of a notebook during a long lecture, redrawn in coloured pencil.
It's a gentle first game against a computer for little ones on Easy, and a real puzzle on Hard, where the bot plays perfectly and the best you can do is a draw.
