Sketch with Friends
A crossword-style word game for two. Each player has seven paper letter tiles. Take turns making words on the board that join onto the words already there, and land on the coloured squares to double or triple your points. Play a friend by text, pass one phone around, or take on the bot.
- Word
- Versus
- Invite a friend by text and take turns whenever
- Easy, Medium and Hard bots
- Clean word list
How to play
- Pick who to play: invite a friend by text, pass one phone, or play the bot.
- Tap a tile in your rack, then tap a square on the board to place it. Make one word across or down.
- The first word has to cover the star in the middle. After that, every word must join onto a word already on the board.
- Tap Play to score. Letters have points, and coloured squares double or triple a letter or the whole word. Use all seven tiles for a 35-point bonus.
- The game ends when the bag is empty and someone uses their last tile. Highest score wins.
Controls
- Tap a tile then a square, or drag a tile onto the board.
- Tap a tile you just placed to take it back. Recall takes them all back, and Shuffle mixes your rack.
- Swap trades tiles for new ones, and Pass skips your turn.
- The Sound button turns sound on or off.
Tips
- Look for the coloured squares. A word on a triple-word square can be worth a lot!
- Short words that cross a big word's letters can score both ways.
- Keep a mix of vowels and consonants. Swap if your rack is all one kind.
- High-point letters like Q, Z and X are worth the most on a double or triple letter square.
