How to play

  1. Drag across the letters on the wheel to spell a word, then let go.
  2. Words that fit the crossword drop into the board. Fill every square to finish the level.
  3. Any other real word is a Bonus Word. It earns points and fills the Bonus meter under the board, and every 6 bonus words pays 30 sand dollars.
  4. Find words within a few seconds of each other to build a combo, up to 5X points. Longer words score much more.
  5. On Beginner, after five misses in a row the first two letters of an unsolved word light up as a clue (eight misses on Intermediate, no free clues on Advanced). Solve a level without hints for 3 stars.
  6. Pick a difficulty. Beginner has 28 relaxed levels from Sand to Seashore. Intermediate has 30 levels with 6 and 7 letter wheels, bigger grids and 1.5X points. Advanced has 30 levels with 7 and 8 letter wheels, only counts words of 4 or more letters, and gives you 4 minutes plus 10 seconds per grid word, for 2X points.

Controls

  • Drag with your finger or mouse across the letters. Slide back to the previous letter to undo it.
  • Shuffle mixes up the letters. The lightbulb costs sand dollars per step (10 on Beginner, 15 on Intermediate, 25 on Advanced): first it lights up a starting shell, then the next shell, then shows the word's first letters in the grid.
  • The star shows your bonus words and personal bests, the bars button lets you switch difficulty or start over, and the speaker button turns sound on or off.

Tips

  • Look for short three-letter words first. They often unlock the crossing letters for longer words.
  • Shuffle when you feel stuck. Seeing the letters in a new order often shows you a word right away.
  • Try every word you can see. Real words that don't fit the grid still earn bonus points and fill the Bonus meter.
  • The level's name is always one of the answers, and it uses every letter on the wheel.
